EXPERIENCE Peter Torrible served his articles as pupil to the County Surveyor and Bridgemaster of Flintshire County Council.  In 1963 he joined an international firm of consultants in West Yorkshire and in 1964 he was invited to join the then newly formed engineering consultancy White Young and Partners in Leeds.  From 1965 to 1968 he was seconded from White Young to the British Railways Board as Resident Engineer involved in a £17m re-organisation project for British Railways Workshops.

In 1968 on his return to White Young he was made Director of Co-ordinated Surveys Ltd, a White Young Company and in 1971 he formed CSL Surveys which he developed into the multi-disciplinary practice known today and which was incorporated in 1982 and renamed CSL Surveys Group Ltd.  Peter Torrible is in overall control of the company which trades as The Land and Development Practice and CSL Surveys.  The latter specialising in topographical survey work and the former dealing with planning including all forms of built development, minerals extraction and waste disposal, roads and drainage design, project management and environmental issues.

He frequently gives expert evidence to public inquiries, arbitration hearings and hearings before the High Court.  He has also given expert evidence to the International Court of Conciliation and Arbitration in Geneva.
