The Land and Development Practice
Specialist & Research Services

There are many instances where the complexities of a case require various kinds of research into title deeds, historical maps, county archive records, riparian law, rights of way and other ancient records. This is particularly the case where large areas of land have been affected by, and continue to be affected by the historical provision of infrastructures such as ancient highways, canals, railways, sewers and drains.

We work closely with specialist lawyers and are often called upon to provide evidence in Arbitrations, Inquiries and High Court cases.

Our ability to cover such aspects and understand the background to these subjects allows us to put our client's requirements into a wider context and often makes a favourable solution more easily achievable.
